Sad day for Fixie Wheels

What a week! After completing work on a few cars I noticed my exhaust was hanging loose. Took the “Fixie Mobile” to the muffler shop to repair it. Seems that while the exhaust was being welded a spark ignited part of the interior and a flame busted my rear glass. The fire was promptly subdued but not before causing damage to interior parts. Luckily my air compressor and paints were spared any damage.
At this point I need to either get another vehicle or find a hatch for this one. Not an easy thing to do. Not only is this a rare car but it is also an older model Audi 100, a station wagon which is even rarer. (Not many Audi cars in Atlanta’s salvage yards.)
For now I am working on a solution so I can get back to repairing wheels as soon as possible.
Hate to see that happen. Can you rig up something temporarily to get you back in the revenue stream till the proper parts are found?
Even some plywood and duct tape might suffice for several months.
Thanks for the suggestion Jim.
I decided to use my Camry without the rear seat to carry the air compressor until I either get the rear hatch for the Audi or buy a small pick up truck. So for now I am back in business.
