Audi TT RS Wheel Curb Rash Repair

A customer contacted me and wanted to repair his set of Audi TT RS wheels. These had some curb rash and scratches to be repaired. The outer lip had damage and the customer wanted to keep the same look as before. So I repaired the damage around the lip relief keeping the same look intact. Then a little paint and a little clear later the wheel looks like new.

After last week’s mishap of the “Fixie Mobile” catching on fire I am glad to say I am back on the road with a temporary solution. I am still trying to source the right parts to use the Audi once more. So for now with a different car I am able to come out and repair wheels on site again.

Sad day for Fixie Wheels

What a week! After completing work on a few cars I noticed my exhaust was hanging loose. Took the “Fixie Mobile” to the muffler shop to repair it. Seems that while the exhaust was being welded a spark ignited part of the interior and a flame busted my rear glass. The fire was promptly subdued but not before causing damage to interior parts. Luckily my air compressor and paints were spared any damage.

At this point I need to either get another vehicle or find a hatch for this one. Not an easy thing to do. Not only is this a rare car but it is also an older model Audi 100, a station wagon which is even rarer. (Not many Audi cars in Atlanta’s salvage yards.)

For now I am working on a solution so I can get back to repairing wheels as soon as possible.

Last week was a busy time for me. Fixie Wheels is really taking off. I haven’t been taking pictures of all repairs as I should but had the opportunity to take a before and after picture of this Mercedes Benz in North Atlanta. This is a return customer. He loved the way I fixed a wheel for him last time and called me back to take care of two curbed and scratched wheels on his MB.

Had the chance to work on a set of wheels from a BMW that were in pretty rough shape. These were not the easiest rims to work on. They had peeling paint in the lips and you could tell they had been cleaned with a strong chemical at some point. I worked on them in my spare time. The owner is restoring his older 3 series BMW and these will be used for daily driving duty. They actually came out better than I thought.

You don’t have to have curbed and scratched wheels on your car any longer. After servicing the Atlanta and Gainesville, GA areas I am now expanding to cover Athens, GA and all points in between. Yes, I do service the Gainesville, Georgia area and other nearby towns. Today I got to work on a nice Infinity with aftermarket wheels. These have a polished lip and someone attempted to repair them before for curb rash damage. Their work was not the best so I had to go over what they did and finally both right side rims were re-polished correctly. I also had to repair some more recent damage on the front wheel.

The polished lip now looks like noting ever happened and the customer was super happy with the work and low price. Call me for mobile wheel repair service to the Gainesville and sorrounding areas.
